Born in Birmingham 1971, Lizzie completed her Fine Art degree at the Ruskin School of Drawing and Fine Art (Oxford University). Lizzie went on to attend Heatherley's school of Art, the Royal Drawing School and Studio Practice with Jason Bowyer NEAC.
Lizzie sells her paintings through The White Gallery, Cotswolds in Chipping Campden, The Gallery at the Guild in Chipping Campden, and also direct from her studio.
Lizzie paints from life, either plein air in the cotswolds or from a still life in her studio.
“I take a long time setting up a still life to paint. I paint with the seasons and check what’s growing locally. I am constantly checking whether the day will be sunny or cloudy. Each still life is dependent on the light conditions. I never make anything up. I have to paint what’s in front of me. There is nothing more beautiful than real life”.
Lizzie has worked in Film and TV for 25 years as a Concept Artist and Matte Painter and now focuses on Oil Painting and also printmaking in Stratford Upon Avon where she has a studio. Lizzie still occasionally accepts digital matte painting and concept painting work.
Lizzie is available for commissions, contract work, and painting and printmaking for designers and also scenic art.
